April 14 Update:
We will be ready by this Friday to lay the base lifts of
asphalt on 3rd Street, from AJ’s Radiator Shop, east. To
accomplish this, the following traffic pattern will be in
place this Friday morning;
· East bound traffic on 3rd Street will be routed down Taylor
Street.
· Once traffic reaches 2nd Street it will be routed eastbound
up 2nd Street, as a short section of 2nd Street will now
be 2-way.
· This detour could last all day.
· Detours will be well marked and flaggers will be in the
area. Then on either Tuesday or Wednesday morning of next
week, the final lift of asphalt will be placed on 3rd Street
and the following traffic pattern will be in place;
· East bound traffic on 3rd Street will be routed down Monroe.
· Once traffic reaches 2nd Street it will be routed eastbound
up 2nd Street, as this section of 2nd Street will now be
2-way.
· This detour will last the entire day.
· Detours will be well marked and flaggers will be in the
area.
After 3rd Street asphalt and striping is complete,
eastbound traffic will be rerouted to the south side of
the roundabout so the final lift of asphalt can be placed
on the north side of the roundabout. All of this is in preparation
for the permanent traffic routing and the opening of Brewery
Grade, scheduled for sometime the first week of May.
