Bios

Mark Bailey has hosted Mid-Columbia Today since January of 1998, since the show began to air both on KIHR in Hood River and KACI-AM in The Dalles. Bailey also anchors Mid-Columbia Mornings from 6 a.m.-8 a.m. on both stations, and serves as the News and Sports Director for all of the Bicoastal Media Columbia River stations, leading the company to numerous Oregon Associated Press Broadcasters Association and Oregon Association of Broadcasters awards in those areas over the past two decades. He's also been the voice of Hood River Valley High School athletics for 20 years, and is a primary play-by-play voice on the OSAA Radio Network's coverage of state football, basketball, and baseball post-season games. Mark grew up in Eugene, is a graduate of Washington State University, and lives in Hood River with his wife Jacqueline.

Jeff Skye is a life-long Oregonian who was born in Pendleton and grew up in Bend, graduating from Bend High School. After graduation, he moved to Baker (now Baker City), and eventually worked for over seven years with the Baker Family YMCA. He left Baker for about a year and then returned, going to work for radio station KBKR. After leaving there, he went to National Broadcasting School, where he was named Valedictorian. Jeff was then hired by KIHR in May of 1989, and has been there ever since.
